ABSTRACT. The following five new Trichopolydesmidae millipedes are described from the Andes of Peru: Moojenodesmus simplex sp.n., Cryptogonodesmus sacciformis sp.n., C. unciger sp.n., Phaneromerium eskovi sp.n., and P. carpish sp.n. The scope and diagnosis of the genus Cryptogonodesmus Silvestri, 1898 are revised viz-à-viz the apparently most similar Brachycerodesmus Carl, 1914, with C. latior (Golovatch, 1994) proposed as a comb.n. ex Brachycerodesmus. The monobasic genus Phylacomerium Verhoeff, 1941 is formally synonymized with Brachycerodesmus, syn.n., this also implying Brachycerodesmus albus (Verhoeff, 1941), comb.n. ex Phylacomerium.

KEY WORDS: taxonomy, iconography, new synonymy, new combination, Andes.
