ABSTRACT: The study presents calculated estimates of spider diversity in Russia and other countries of the former Soviet Union (FSU), as well as their physiogeographical regions, as of 2024, compared with earlier data. By December 31st, 2024, 3,713 and 2,565 spider species had been reported from the FSU republics and Russia, respectively. As additional electronic appendices, 43 spider species lists are provided for the post-Soviet republics and their physiogeographical regions.
