ABSTRACT: This is the first complete catalogue of the spiders of Left-Bank Ukraine. It is based on original and literature-derived data dating from 1836 to 2012. Left-Bank Ukraine is here defined as the part of Ukraine east of the River Dnieper. The catalogue lists 709 spider species belonging to 247 genera and 35 families. Each species is provided with the following data: published and original records from Left-Bank Ukraine, habitat preferences in different natural zones and subzones, general geographical distribution, erroneous and doubtful records, and synonyms used in literature. 39 species are excluded from the previous lists, records of 41 species need confirmation. The catalogue is intended for zoologists, mainly arachnologists, as well as for zoogeographers, local biologists and naturalists.
