ABSTRACT. The paper considers the results of the research the bryoflora of the State Memorial and Natural Preserve “Museum-estate of Leo Tolstoy Yasnaya Polyana”. The list includes 126 species of mosses (124 species and 2 varieties), among them 9 hepatics, 16 species Spahgnum and 102 of Bryidae. Information on the locations, presence of spophytes, occurrence in the communities and substrates is given. Among the cultural landscapes, the highest diversity (40 species) and some rare and unique species were detected in spruce plantings. Natural landscapes (old-growth deciduous forests and karst swamp) are characterised by good condition and high representativeness of bryoflora: ca. 80 species were found in linden-oak forests and ca. 50 speices grow in the sphagnum bogs. Thirteeen species included in the Red Data Book of the region were found within the study area. High scientific value and conservation value of the museum-reserve is confirmed by the bryological data.
