ABSTRACT. The imagos of Lasiommata megera (Linnaeus, 1767) were collected in National Park “Smolenskoe Poozerie” in Smolenskaya Oblast of Russia for the first time in 2016, and later the butterfly was registered several times in the Park and near Smolensk during 2017–2019. Therefore the species should be considered as a resident of the regional fauna adapted to local conditions and realizing its life-cycle in nothernmost part of the main areal.
