ABSTRACT. The Palaearctic species belonging to the Spilomicrus formosus species group are revised. Spilomicrus pelion Nixon, 1980, stat.rev., is removed from synonymy with S. crassiclavis Kieffer, 1911. The female of S. pelion and the male of S. crassiclavis have been found for the first time, and their diagnostic features are described and illustrated. The new species, S. arkadyi sp.n., is described from Japan. The Palaearctic species of the S. formosus species group are keyed and illustrated, and the diagnoses of all species are updated. The diagnosis and the composition of this species group are discussed.
