ABSTRACT. Based on a study of the holotype of Stelis malaisei Popov, 1941, a new synonymy has been proposed for Bathanthidium bifoveolatum (Alfken, 1937) = B. malaisei (Popov, 1941), syn.n. A lectotype is designated for Anthidium sibiricum Eversmann, 1852. The genus Lasanthidium Romankova, 1988 is considered a synonym of the subgenus Bathanthidium s.str., rather than the subgenus Stenanthidiellum as was previously thought. As a result of these changes, an updated checklist of the species of the genus Bathanthidium is provided.
