ABSTRACT. A new genus and species from the tribe Paranthrenini (Lepidoptera, Sesiidae) is described and illustrated from Southern Thailand: Nokonella semang O. Gorbunov, gen. et sp.n. The new genus differs from the all known genera of the tribe in the combination of the structure of the labial palpus and the male genitalia. The new species, the type series of which consists of only two males, was collected with the help of artificial sex attractants. In its appearance and the structure of the male genitalia, this beautiful new species is unique and cannot be confused with any species of clearwing moth from the Indo-Malayan region. The female and the larval bionomics are unknown. The subgenus Aritasesia Nakamura, 2009, is restored from synonyms of the polyphyletic genus Nokona Matsumura, 1931 and its rank was raised to generic: Aritasesia Nakamura, 2009, stat.res. et stat.n.
