ABSTRACT. The paper presents a brief biography and scientific achievements of a renowned Russian mammologist Alexei Vladimirovich Abramov (b. 1962) in relation to his 60th anniversary. The paper is illustrated by photos obtained from colleagues who personally know A.V. Abramov and from his family archive.
